Reebok PUMP Twilight Zone...Nuff Said

30 Dec 2009 In: Fashion & Jewelry

Now even if you've never owned a hightop shoe in your life or you're just too funky fresh for these wild designs, you've got to remember Reebok's infamous PUMP Twilight Zone hightop. They're back and will be in high demand once again. Most fashion savvy folks were pre-teens when this shoe first came so we didn't really appreciate it's true style; but my how that's changed.

Known for that popular PUMP that makes you jump higher, or just squeezes your foot either way this is one of the hottest retro kicks to hit the market once again. I definitely recommend choosing a pair or maybe a couple since they have many colors to choose from and strut your stuff like the fashion gangster you are.

2009 has been a year for unique jewelries. We have seen pairs of dangling earrings in the form of spoon and fork, key and lock or dog and cat. Charm bracelets became a trend too as different kinds of charms were seen in one bracelet. Then, there have been necklaces with unique pendants like moustache and burger.

Now, before 2009 ends, another necklace pendant has been added to the collection of unique jewelry called the Tiny Little Chairs necklace. These handmade jewelries by Bruxe design are tiny replicas of the classic mid-century chairs such as Eames and Barcelona Chairs. I am very fond of the rocking chair necklace, which I can’t wait to have once it is available in our country. These necklaces are perfect for furniture lovers who want to show people their love for chairs through the usual way of wearing jewelries. You won’t see chairs the same way again when you wear this chair necklace, which can be paired up with any kind of outfit.

These necklaces can be worn by men or women, but, biases aside, I think these necklaces would be a perfect gift for women who are just addicted to furniture, especially chairs. I think this surpasses the moustache necklace, which I think is more manly than the chairs. (Hehehe).

Identify Your Drink

30 Dec 2009 In: Art & Design, Food & Drink, Fun Stuff

I have always been fond of unique and out of the ordinary glasses---especially those that you cannot just find anywhere---so that I can have memorable drinking sessions. This coming New Year’s Eve, I’m sure there will be a lot of that. But with a glass that has a mind of its own, drinking sessions, alcoholic or not, will never be the same again.

Introducing, the Drink-Identifying Glasses by Damjan Stankovic called the Cipher cup. This is a unique glass that is colorful and has the unique feature of communicating with you. Well, almost. This glass identifies your drink the moment you pour it. It is covered by pixels and when you pour the drink, the pixels changes color and pattern according to the drink that you poured. Not only that, but it also the displays the name of the drink. For example, if you poured milk, its pixels will change to white and the word “milk” will appear. How can you not be impressed with that?

So far, the Cipher cup recognizes milk, orange and Coca-Cola, but it would be great if Damjan Stankovic would create cups that would recognize alcoholic beverages. That would make your drinking sessions fun and memorable. But for New Year’s Eve tomorrow, welcome then year 2010 with these cute and colorful glasses.

Lively High-Heeled Shoes

27 Dec 2009 In: Fashion & Jewelry

In just a few days, we say goodbye to 2009 and say hello to 2010. So, it’s good to start the year right with a nice and hip wardrobe, starting with shoes. Yes, I believe this is where a woman should start because shoes can help determine what wardrobe we should wear first. 2009 was the year of the classic strappy heels and peep-toe shoes, but it’s time to liven up your shoe rack with hip and funky shoes. And this is where the multi-hued heels come in.

Introducing, the latest in Amaya Arzuaga’s Spring 2010 line of shoe collection, where she combines two or more colors in one shoes and goes out of the classic heeled shoes. One of the favorites is the black strappy platform with the yellow curved heel. How’s that for being unique? Not only is it catchy in the eye, but it will give a lively look for a dull wardrobe. Not to mention that she made a collection of high-heeled shoes for, get this, toddlers! This is just perfect for mothers who want to let their daughters get used to the high-heeled world.

All of her collection has a unique feature in every shoe (like red heels with a big red ribbon at the back) that can possibly make a woman think twice of wearing them. But for someone like me who loves to wear high-heeled shoes, this is a must have collection that every woman should own.
