Sweet Valley Sequel

27 Feb 2010 In: Entertainment & Books

Let’s admit it. I’m sure some (if not most of us) was an avid reader of the Sweet Valley series. We followed the lives of Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield from elementary to high school (and for some, even college). I, for one, can say that it is because of the Sweet Valley series that my love for reading emerged. After the Sweet Valley University series (even if I didn’t finish all of it), up until today, I wondered what happened to the Wakefield twins and to their friends. I’m sure you SV fans do too.

Now, there is no need to wonder as fans of the series will be happy to know that that there will be a sequel this coming 2011. It was said that fans had been wondering and requesting what had happened to the Wakefield twins and their friends. Where are they now? What are they doing? What happened to Elizabeth and Todd? How about Jessica? Etcetera, etcetera. The series will be entitled as Sweet Valley Confidential, and it will be, as Francine Pascal promises, “shocking and satisfying”. Hmmm…now I’m curious just by hearing those two words and makes me wonder what else could happen with the Sweet Valley gang. I, for sure, can’t wait for this sequel to come out. I hope it will be worth the wait.

Environmental Vintage Bags

26 Feb 2010 In: Art & Design, Fun Stuff

Vintage has been the in-thing in fashion---from shoes to clothes to accessories. Now, vintage has turned environmental with new recycled vintage bags called Forest Bounds. The bags are made of salvaged and found materials from New England and turned to bags that are not only the in-thing, but also environment-friendly. The bags come in different colors and have different vintage designs that would suit your wardrobe. They also feature canvas, leather and cotton recyclables and are have that affordable price according to the bag that you want to buy. Since they each have a unique appeal, the price is based on that. So, if you plan to buy the most unique, I think it would be worth the buy even if it is a little expensive. Like come on. This is one collection that is worth buying, especially for somebody who is a big fan of vintage fashion.

26 Feb 2010 In: Fun Stuff, Gadget

No, Nintendo isn't coming out with new games, although I'm sure millions of us wish they would bring old-school graphics back. Although you can't put this game in your vintage Nintendo, you can plug this into your laptop; it's an NES External Hard Drive. It's perfect for video game lovers and anyone searching for more computer space. They're available in 320, 500, and 640 GB. Of course it would be perfect to add your own video game or picture collection on this to reminisce those childhood times. All you have to do is plug it in to your device and start working. What's great about this hard drive is it's absolutely customizable, which means you can save your files on your Super Mario Brothers hard drive if you wish.

Ji Lee: Clock Genius

23 Feb 2010 In: Gadget

Ji Lee is a clock genius. He doesn't create any normal time tellers, his work is nothing short of absolute creativity. Take one of his latest creations where you have math problems that help you know what time it is. For instance, the little hand is pointing at the 12, but you'll also see the math equation: 6x2, which equals 12; is that cool or what? Ji Lee allows you to learn the current time and also stay up to date on your math skills. This is a thoughtful gift for that math teacher or someone that loves numbers.

Cat-In-A-Can

22 Feb 2010 In: Fun Stuff

Have you always wanted a pet kitty but are allergic like I am? Of course it isn't the cat you've always wanted but hopefully you can enjoy the Inflatable Feline. Just spend a few minutes blowing it up and you'll have your very own cat. Forget about spending money to feed it and send it to the doctor, with the Inflatable Feline you don't have to go broke for your pet, you only have to love and nurture it like you've always wanted. Okay, so this may not be the ideal gift for someone that's been longing for a cat their entire life; but it is pretty funny.
