With Valentines Day approaching fast many of you might be still wondering what to get your guy. A while ago Allure Magazine published “guy gift-giving guide” which I will quote below, hoping many of you will find it helpful.
- Take a minute to analyze him. What would he do if he had more time? Has he mentioned a hobby he'd like to pick up? Think about it, and then buy a gift based on your conclusions. If he's mentioned he'd like to do more cooking, buy him a wok. If he wants to start painting, buy him a set of brushes. Buying him a gift based on his interests will show you're thoughtful. And that you weren't tuning him out when he was talking about his favorite hobby.
- Ticket him. Find out what his favorite sports team is, and get two tickets so both of you can go. If your guy's not into sports? Get him tickets to a play he'd like to see, a concert, or an art exhibit.
- If all your ideas fail, let him choose! Don't be afraid to get him a gift certificate to his favorite store. The man in your life would much rather have a gift card than some polka dot sweater you thought 'might be cute' and then they have to smile when they open it or risk hurting your feelings.
