The Grammy-winning music artist Gladys Knight has announced her plans to launch her own jewelry line. She has already partnered with LaRoda Group and Robert Rose Jewelry and started work on new designs. The eco-friendly jewelry line is set to debut in December and will be available at major department stores.

In her press release the singer said: "I am excited to work with a company that shares our ideas of creating natural products that are not only environmentally friendly, but also creates jobs. The affordable prices of the new line, along with quality and attention to family, is an unbeatable combination (…) My team and I were impressed with Gary Rose, the chief executive officer of Robert Rose Jewelry, and its family-oriented organization, as well as its mission to provide quality jewelry for the working woman and appeal to those who are just fashion forward."

The jewelry will be made of eco-friendly materials including recycled glass, fair trade beads and parts made from tagua nuts, which are a sustainable rain forest crop often referred to as vegetable ivory.
