Lindsay Lohan has been reported to Scotland Yard because $400,000 worth of Dior jewelry was reported missing two days after her Elle photo shoot in London. The missing diamond jewels were used in an Elle Magazine photo shoot at London's Big Sky Studios on June 6th and are believed to have disappeared right around the same time Lohan left the shoot. According to gossip columns Lohan was overheard asking during the shoot if she could keep the necklace and earrings, but the answer was “NO”.

The actress has been accused of stealing more than once before. In 2007, Lindsay took a very expensive shirt and some other items from a famous fashion house during a magazine photo shoot. A source told the New York Post:
"Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot. Lindsay kept shoving the clothes into her bag, and a stylist's assistant kept getting them out of the bag, only to have Lindsay keep trying to take them." As a result Louis Vuitton resigned from any further cooperation with the actress.

Yesterday a rep for Elle said: "I can confirm on behalf of Elle magazine, that items of jewelry went missing from an Elle photo shoot two weeks ago and the matter is now being investigated by the police. Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."
