The maxi dress. Since spring the maxi dress has been a hot trend of 2009. From the beach, the store, and at restaurants, they are everywhere! I have to admit...I didn't like it at first, but after seeing them everywhere I have embraced them. On my trip to Florida I couldn't escape them! The women wearing them looked like beach godesses. When I wasn't so keen on the maxi dress, I had the misconception that only tall, willowy models could pull them off. Now I, a 5'4 shortie, own three! What's so lovely about the maxi dress is that it can be casual and fancy. You can throw your hair up and wear it to the store or add gorgeous accessories and get your hair did to wear it on a date or out to dinner. Mind you- some cotton maxis should not be worn outside the casual realm and some silky, bejeweled etc. maxis are too nice for just anywhere. But don't let that shoot you down! Go get your maxi on!
