First it's Simon Cowell, then it's Ellen DeGeneres.
Now, it's official: Kara DioGuardi won't be back for the 10th season of "American Idol".
FOX has confirmed this last Friday when she announced it on on a show, after many months of rumors about her said departure. Kara said in a statement to the press that "I felt like I won the lottery when I joined 'American Idol' two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave 'Idol,'". Despite that, she is grateful to have been part of the American Idol phenomenon and the show, as well as to the people behind the reality TV singing contest.
For Idol's executive producer, Simon Fuller, he will surely miss Kara as she is one of the best songwriters and, hopefully, he will be able to work with her again.
That leaves Randy Jackson as the only original judge and FOX looking for new replacements for the three judges who left. There are reports that one of them is Jennifer Lopez.
Not to discourage everyone, but it will be hard to watch American Idol now as three of the judges have already dropped out, and it won't be the same as the of the past seasons. Hopefully, season 10 will still get god ratings despite having new judges. Good luck American Idol.
