I guess fans are really curious at the creation of Facebook.

"The Social Network”, a story about the creation of the biggest social networking site today, Facebook, debuted at No. 1 in the weekend box office at $23 million. It had beaten “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”, which debuted last weekend at No. 1 at around $20 million as well.

With this good start, Sony, the movie’s distributor, thinks it can get higher in the next weeks to come, at around $100 million.

"It really is a great start for us. This is a movie that is resonating everywhere. The reviews are the best I've seen at our studio in my career," Bruer said. "It's just one of those movies that critics and audiences alike are embracing, and I think it's going to have a tremendous life."

“The Social Network” stars Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckernerg and Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin, Zuckerberg’s best friend in which they had a fight over the creation of Facebook. They also co-star with Justin Timberlake as founder of Napster Sean Parker.

The movie is still showing in theatres everywhere.
