Another “How I Met Your Mother” star is crossing the bridge towards the movie industry…and it’s a big crossover!
Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin in HIMYM, has been confirmed to be in “The Avengers” movie. She will be playing S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill, who is the second-in-command of S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury. For comic book fans out there, you all know that Agent Hill is not just any ordinary agent or second-in-command because she was the one who took over Fury’s position as S.H.I.E.L.D. Director when he went missing-in-action (MIA) in the Civil War storyline.
Smulders is signed to be on nine movies that includes “The Avengers” movies and some side-appearances in other Marvel movies such as “Iron Man”, “Captain America”, “Thor” and the like.
That’s good to hear! Smulders is my favorite HIMYM star and she is perfect for the role. I know it’s far from playing Robin, but I’m sure she’ll be able to do her role as Agent Maria Hill. After all, Agent Hill is no ordinary character and I guess this is a big opportunity for her.
