Before we all knew about Lady Antebellum and their popular song “Need You Now”, I admit that I thought the name of their group is weird and the same goes for their songs. But as soon as I thought about that, their single “Need You Now” hit the airwaves and I got addicted to it that I would play it on my iPod many times because the lyrics and beat was nice to listen to. The song became so popular that it’s now part of the Rock Band 3 downloadable songs and was sung in Glee by Puck and Rachel.

Now the hype of that song paid off as Lady Antebellum leads the 2011 Grammy winners by snagging five awards out of their six nominations. Two of their awards include Record of the Year and Song of the Year for that popular love song. Other awards included Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group. Lady Antebellum was not able to snag the Album of the Year as it went to Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs”.

I never knew I’d be happy that they won because they deserve it. “Need You Now” is such a great love song and I’m sure a lot of people can relate to it. It’s really a wonderful song and I never get tired of hearing it all over again. Congratulations Lady Antebellum!
