Now that the top 24 of “American Idol” Season 10 has been revealed, a lot of people were sad that some fan favorites didn’t make it to the cut. Favorites such as Chris Medina, John Wayne Schulz, and Jacee Badeaux didn’t make it as those who shouldn’t be in the Top 24 are there. We know they’re crying now and, despite the judges saying they’re really good, we’re sure they’re feeling dejected and rejected.

But they shouldn’t be feeling sad for a long time. They will be happy to know that some of the greatest singers now were once (or twice) rejected by “American Idol” with some of them not even passing the producers and production assistants. Let’s take a look at these once-rejected but great singers now.

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum: This is quite surprising since they just recently won five Grammys including Record AND Song of the Year. The frontwoman of Lady Antebellum auditioned two times for Idol but never even reached the preliminary rounds and see the judges as she never passed the producers. Afterwards, she formed Lady Antebellum instead…and the rest is history.

Colbie Caillat: Like Scott, Caillat also auditioned for “Idol” two times and even sang her now hit single “Bubbly” and got a no. she was glad though because she felt at that time she wasn’t ready yet. But now, “Bubbly” became an international hit and was even covered by other “Idol” hopefuls.

Amber Riley: Oh yes, that high-pitched great singer from “Glee” auditioned for “Idol” when she was just 17 and didn’t make it past the producers. She may have not sang for the Idol stage, but she’s still singing with Fox as Mercedes Jones in the musical comedy TV series. "You know what? I still work on Fox and I get paid! Thank you, 'American Idol,'". That’s our girl!

So, for Chris, John and Jaycee, don’t be discouraged. Just continue to live your dream on becoming a singer, and we hope to see more of you in the future, whether it’s the Idol stage or the stadium stage. We know you’ll grow big…even with “Idol”.
