All of us are anticipating the “The Hangover Part II” and I got excited when I saw the second trailer recently in “Source Code”. But, just when everyone is in high gear for it, a buzzkill appears. MPAA ordered Warner Bros. to pull out the latest trailer of “The Hangover Part II” from all theaters as well as urging them that its prints “need to be destroyed”.

According to Popeater, theater owners all over the country were given a notice from Warner Bros. to pull out the trailer. This is rather odd because MPAA originally approved the trailer with a non-restrictive green-band rating, meaning WB can show the trailer in all theaters.

There are speculations that families (most likely parents) who watched “Source Code” complained about the trailer’s non-restricted dialogues and some adult humor. MPAA heeded this by taking out the trailer, which is unreasonable. In the first place, why would parents bring their young children to a PG-13 sci-fi thriller that concerns a lot of death? The little ones wouldn’t even understand the concept of the story. And also, “Hop” was showing alongside it, so parents have a lot of option in watching a family-friendly movie.

Either way, I believe this won’t stop the audience from anticipating the “The Hangover Part II” since the first one was such a big hit. And besides, there’s the YouTube version of the trailer so anybody can watch it easily. I, for one, am anticipating the movie and this pull out won’t stop me from looking forward to it. We hope MPAA reconsiders and this won’t affect the showing of the movie itself on May.
