Country couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert has tied the knot last Saturday in Texas, where Shelton and Lambert exchanged marriage vows in front of more than 500 guests.
According to the US Weekly, Lambert, 27, walked down the aisle wearing her mother's wedding dress while Shelton, 34, is very happy that he's finally married to his love of his life. “I wanted to be married to Miranda the day I proposed. Finally, it's official!" he said after the event. Lambert is also very happy with the marriage, saying "I'm married to my best friend!...Looking forward to a lifetime of laughter."
Some of the celebrities present in the wedding are fellow “The Voice” judge, Cee Lo Green, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and Dierks Bentley.
Shelton and Lambert started out as a couple in 2006 and then Shelton proposed to her last spring in Oklahoma. While this is the first marriage for Lambert, she is Shelton's second wife (with Kaynette Williams as his first that lasted for three years and ended in 2006).
Lambert have been tweeting updates about her upcoming wedding for her fans, from her manicure to the deer meat they're serving. But even though Shelton is busy these days---especially with his stint as a mentor in NBC's “The Voice”----he and Lambert spent with each other almost the whole of May. After all, Lambert is his top priority despite his busy schedule.
Well, this is indeed good news in the world of Hollywood nowadays. I hope Shelton and Lambert have a wonderful married life together. Congratulations Blake and Miranda.
