For those of you who still don't know, country boy singer Scotty McCreery is Season 10's American Idol! Lauren Alaina placed second.

In the two-hour finale of the singing competition, the public was given great entertainment with a lot of numbers leading to the big announcement of who our new American Idol is. With guests such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Mark Anthony, the Top 13, Jack Black and many more, the show was very spectacular and is a great way to ease the people who are waiting to know who their new American Idol.

So Scotty McCreery won, got a recording contract---and already faces a new gossip!Minutes after the show was finished, and Scotty and Lauren left the Idol stage for the last time, they were bombarded with the press asking about the relationship of the two! On last night's show, a lot of people noticed that Lauren kissed Scotty after he just got the most coveted title in reality history from her. If you're still not over it, well, so am I! It looked like Scotty not only got the title of this season's American Idol, but might have gotten a girl!

So, the press immediately asked about the kiss and their relationship with each other. Lauren just coyly replied that Scotty “might be” her boyfriend, though she noted to them that the kiss was her way of showing her platonic love to her best friend, Scotty. In her statement, Lauren said that “I love Scotty. I can't imagine being unhappy in this moment. Of course, I wanted to win. That's what I came here to do, but I feel like I did win even though I didn't get first place. I got second place to one of the most incredible people that I've ever met. He's my best friend, one of my best."

Scotty is with Lauren at that saying that they're really close friends since day one of Hollywood Week and “we've grown really tight over the weeks when we've been in school together. Everybody keeps asking me about the smooch. She told me she was going to do that before the show. She's such a sweetheart. We've grown so close. It's a special relationship that we have." And he has confirmed that they're not dating at all.

Well, if they're friends, then that's fine. They're way too young to be going into a relationship, so they should take it slow. Besides, I'm sure they need to take this time to grow up among themselves before they get into a relationship.

Other than that, it's good that Scotty won...he's very talented after all. Congratulations Scotty!
