That was fast! Looks like the couple are totally in love with each other.
For those of you who have been under the rock for months, Twilight's Nikki Reed and American Idol Season 10 Alum Paul McDonald are now engaged after only two months of dating. This is indeed a good year for McDonald despite not winning the singing competition, while Reed is having a blast with the end of shooting of “Breaking Dawn” and promoting it throughout the world.
E! News was the first to report about the engagement as the “Twilight” star appeared with McDonald in the 2011 MTV Movie Awards last Sunday night wearing an engagement ring. When asked about it, the 23-year-old actress gushed about her beau saying “He's the one. He's the one”. A source from the couple also confirmed about the engagement.
Aside from that, Reed also reveals that McDonald has been singing and writing a bunch of songs about her, which is very sweet. “He says he's going to release a Nikki Reed EP”. Awww.
McDonald and Reed met in the “Red Riding Hood” premiere and since then, McDonald wanted to meet her. They got together around mid-April despite the fact that McDonald was never a Twi-hard.
"I haven't ever actually watched any of her movies. I don't know too much of her career at all, but the person she is is super cool. She's been real supportive of this whole thing. She's actually pumped up now because she likes my original material way better than all the stuff I do on the show." Now, it's reported that they're living together in Reed's LA house and that the Twilight star is helping her beau land a record deal.
When asked why the couple wanted to rush to the altar, a close pal said that Reed wanted to settle down as "[She] is very spontaneous."
Well, I wish the couple all the best in their lives. They look good together and it looks like they're really in love with each other. Hope this is forever.
