America’s most expensive house, the mansion that belonged to the late producer Aaron Spelling and his wife, Candy, has officially been sold. The buyer is none other than beautiful, rich and young (she’s 23) Formula 1 heiress Petra Ecclestone, the younger daughter of billionaire Bernie Ecclestone. Petra, who coolly purchased the overly opulent mansion, is an aspiring actress, model and fashion designer, who lives with her fiancé, 29 year old entrepreneur James Stunt. Ecclestone, who has been called the “most spoilt girl in the world” bought the house to live in while her $56 million Chelsea home is undergoing a two-year renovation. The Spelling house, one of the largest in the country, was built in 1988 and is even bigger than the Palace of Versailles, though decorated in a quintessentially Hollywood manner. Candy Spelling, wife of late Aaron Spelling, reportedly wanted a higher price for the mansion, but as it has no particular views, and thanks to the current economic downturn, had to settle for a lower price. She can still survive for a long time on the money. The socialite, who has been estranged from her daughter, actress Tori Spelling, ever since Aaron died, is now searching for another place to live.
