As if there hasn’t been enough media coverage already, now even President Obama has suggested that Anthony Weiner resign! Weiner, who has been blasted by the media for his inappropriate photos on social networking site Twitter, has apologized many times already and has resigned from his government post. In June of this year, the former U.S. Representative for New York’s 9th congressional district, finally admitted to having sent explicit and inappropriate photos of his body parts to many women followers of his Twitter account. Leaders such as Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman Schultz demanded Weiner’s resignation. Since this incident, Weiner has taken a leave of absence from work to seek treatment and become a better husband. The former Representative got married to Huma Abedin in 2010, and being rocked by a scandal this size after such a short marriage has been scrutinized by newspapers and magazines all over the world. Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart threatened to release the photos after the first round of releases, when Weiner directly denied having been involved in them. Weiner claimed that his Twitter account was “hacked” and the inappropriate pictures were not of him at all. He later held a press conference and admitted to having taken those pictures.
