Unless you have been living under a rock the past couple of weeks, you would know that Katy Perry has released a new music video! The popular mainstream singer and entertainer has released the video for her hit song “Last Friday Night”. In the video, Katy Perry acts as her alter-ego ‘Kathy Beth Terry’, a 13 year old nerd who gets invited to a wild party and has the most exciting night of her life. The video has been very popular on the internet, and is about nine minutes long. However, the reason it is so popular, is because Katy Perry has created an arena for the Eighties’ stars to make a comeback and achieve fame and popularity again. This has obviously worked, because internet searches for these old stars have definitely spiked by a large percent. Among the stars are famous Eighties’ teen queen Debbie Gibson and idol Corey Feldman. Other stars in the video are the popular Nineties’ band Hanson (famous for their hit ‘Mmmbop’), saxophonist Kenny G, Youtube sensation Rebecca Black (in case you haven’t heard of her already- she sang ‘Friday’) and popular ‘Glee’ actors Darren Criss and Kevin McHale.
