George Clooney, man who has won over a million hearts, and who has never married, has split with his girlfriend of two years, Elisabetta Canalis. The two, who seemed to be in quite a steady relationship apparently split after clashing over marriage. George, who infamously refuses to get married, has made it clear that he is not interested in being married after his first marriage to actress Talia Balsam ended in 1993. Elisabetta Canalis, a 32-year old Italian actress and media anchor, was first seen with George Clooney in 2009 after they met at the Venice Film Festival. They were photographed in a number of places including his Italian villa. They seemed to be getting along wonderfully, despite rumors of a break up, and were photographed together even last week. The once ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ and the actress confirmed their split in a joint statement that said that they are “…not together anymore. It is very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy.” The actor will next be seen in the upcoming movies ‘The Descendants’, ‘Ides of March’ (which he also directed) and the Alfonso Cuaron-directed movie ‘Gravity’, a sci-fi thriller along with Sandra Bullock.
