Ben Affleck is truly gifted. He has directed two movies that have opened to much critical acclaim (‘Gone Baby Gone’ and 2010’s ‘The Town), won an Oscar for his screenwriting abilities for ‘Good Will Hunting’, and well…, was engaged to Jennifer Lopez! Media reports now state that he is ready to direct and star in the upcoming George Clooney-produced film ‘Argo’. The film is said to be based on a real life story of Americans rescued by a CIA plot that involved pretending to make a movie. The story is based on an article Affleck read in Wired magazine, titled, “How the CIA Used a Fake Sci-Fi Flick to Rescue Americans from Tehran”. The last movie Ben Affleck directed was received very well by audiences and critics alike. The movie, which was about a bunch of bank robbers in Boston, starred Affleck himself, alongside Jeremy Renner, John Hamm, Rebecca Hall and Blake Lively. His new caper is set to star John Goodman and Alan Arkin. Affleck is also supposedly set to direct the new film ‘Tell No One’, based on Harlan Coben’s hit book, and is rumored to act in Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of Scott Fitzgerald’s seminal classic ‘The Great Gatsby’.
