David Duchovny, who stars in popular sitcom ‘Californication’, and is probably best known for his star making role in ‘The X-Files’, is separating from his actress wife Tea Leoni, report various media outlets. The couple, who has been married since 1997, separated once in 2008, and reunited a little after. They seemed to be going strong, so these new reports are rather surprising. The couple has two kids, Madelaine who is 12, and Kyd, who is 9. The 45 year old actress, who has starred in a slew of hits like Steven Speilberg’s ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Fun with Dick and Jane’ with Jim Carrey, has been known as somewhat evasive of media scrutiny. David last made news for undergoing sex addiction therapy in 2008, which was immediately followed by a separation from his wife. After admitting that he was a sex addict, the actor went for intensive treatment. The couple reunited the following year, in 2009. Duchovny claimed that the separation was the “best thing” that could happen for their relationship. The popular TV actor returns for the fifth season of the popular sitcom ‘Californication’ later this year. The show revolves around a troubled novelist (Duchovny) suffering from writers’ block while trying to maintain a good relationship with his daughter and girlfriend.
