For all those who don’t know, there have been a number of scams in Hollywood. A number of stars have been duped of their money. The latest in the series of scams comes from Beverly Hills salon owner Maria Gabriella Perez, who stole at least $300,000 worth of money from Jennifer Aniston’s credit card last year. The owner and now criminal, also stole a noteworthy amount from other actresses such as Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway and Cher. Perez, who was caught late last year, was not sentenced to jail as she probably should have been. Instead, the scammer, who otherwise should face 25 years of prison, was sentenced to five years of probation and 3,000 hours of community service. Last year, Perez charged at least $218,000 from Liv Tyler’s credit card account over a span of five months. This is not the last that Perez hears from the courts though. There will be a restitution hearing that will take place on October 17 of this year. If the law is not on her side, she will probably be ordered to pay back all the money back to the actresses. She is a big spender though, so wonder how she is going to pay all that back.
