Here comes some sad news that is sure to make a fans mourn a bit. Chord Overstreet, who plays cute transfer student Sam Evans, won’t be returning for a new season of ‘Glee’. However, Warblers’ member Darren Criss and dancing sensation Harry Shum Jr. will be promoted to cast regulars for the much-anticipated third season of the musical comedy. He has stated that he might come back as an occasional guest star on the show, due to the popularity of his character. Sam has been romantically linked with characters Santana Lopez, Quinn Fabray and Mercedes Jones. He joined the show in the second season as a blond transfer student who plays football and loves to sing. Chord Overstreet, 22, tweeted earlier that he is looking for a fresh start and that he has had a fantastic year as a member of the ‘Glee’ cast. This casting news comes right after show creator Ryan Murphy came on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show and said that he wants his cast to graduate from school and not be students there for eight years. Past guest stars on the show include Gwyneth Paltrow, singer Charice, Idina Menzel and Cheyenne Jackson and Jonathan Groff.
