The actress, who told reporters on the red carpet of the recent BAFTA gala that she did not want Prince William and Kate Middleton seeing the worst of Los Angeles, was criticized by Patt Morrison for her choice of words. The actress, who is never seen in a scandalous light, was quick to take offence at the article, which had the opening line- “I can’t believe Zooey Deschanel is really the snobby cow she came off sounding like on Sunday evening.” The actress was offended by the use of the term cow, and posted an article on her own website as a response to the controversial article in the LA Times. Zooey added that she said what she said at the BAFTAs because she just wanted to suggest good places for the newly married royals to see. She added that she loves L.A and did not mean to criticize or mock. Zooey Deschanel and a number of actors, actresses and other celebrities attended the much-hyped BAFTA gala that welcomed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge into Hollywood. It was a highly glamorous evening, with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner and Blake Lively attending. Zooey Deschanel was there with her husband, the lead singer of the popular alternative band ‘Death Cab for Cutie’.
