Two years ago, ‘Twilight’ opened to the biggest opening day ever- it opened to nearly $ 72.7 million in its first day. However, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ opened to more than $92.1 million domestically. Worldwide, it earned about $250 million. This set the record for biggest opening ever in history. ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ was the most anticipated movie of the year, so it was pretty obvious that it would bring in a large amount of money. The London premiere for the movie was watched all over the news, and various style news blogs talked about Emma Watson’s stunning Oscar de la Renta gown. All over the world, fans lined up in queues and camped out for hours to watch the premiere. The movie also beat records for biggest midnight showing openings all over the world. Fans thronged Trafalgar and New York to watch the premieres and get autographs. Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint became world-famous thanks to the tremendously successful series, and will now move on to other projects- though it is doubtful their future projects will garner as much success as the Harry Potter movies. Daniel Radcliffe is already performing on Broadway, and Emma Watson is set to act in the adaptation of the novel ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’.
