Looks like things are taking a nasty turn in actress Leighton Meister’s life. The popular star of the “Gossip Girl” series on the CW is apparently taking her mom to court for using money Leighton provided for Botox and plastic surgeries. The money was apparently sent to Leighton’s family every month so that they could use it to pay for her brother’s medical bills. Leighton Meester’s family has always been in the news for the wrong reasons. Her mother was a drug-dealer who was in prison for a long time, and Leighton herself was born in a half-house in Texas. She was taken care of by relatives while her mom served time. Leighton Meester of course saw major success after acting in small roles in hit shows like ‘Entourage’. She scored her breakout role in the hit drama “Gossip Girl” where she plays scheming bad girl Blair Waldorf, an ambitious and power-hungry college student who is highly fashionable. It is horrible to hear that the money she sent for her sick brother every year got spent for cosmetic reasons by her mother. It is a sad state of events for the family indeed. Leighton recently appeared in a new movie called ‘The Roommate’ alongside her equally beautiful co-star Minka Kelly.
