Blake Lively, like fellow stars Emma Watson, Emma Stone and Leighton Meester among others, is swiftly rising in the fashion world. Her trend-setting credibility has especially risen in the past one year when she became the chosen face of ultra-luxurious fashion house Chanel. As Karl Lagerfeld’s protégée, she has definitely worn some interesting styles in the past few months. She has famously declined using a stylist as well. Blake recently shut it down at the red carpet premiere of her much-anticipated summer flick ‘The Green Lantern’, where she acts alongside romantic-comedy hero Ryan Reynolds. The actress wore a graceful and lacy Chanel dress that had sheer detailing and was completely white. The downside to taking risks with fashion is the fact that one can easily go wrong. Unfortunately for Blake, her accessorizing of the interesting and fashion-forward dress was slightly off the mark. The actress wore stacked bangles in gold, white gold and crystal, something that has become a slightly unwanted trend in the fashion world today. The bangles were a little too much, and removed from the outfit its feminine and glamorous quality. Lively also dampened the look with one too many oversized cocktail rings that looked heavy and disproportionate. Maybe the beautiful actress will have better luck next time.
