One of the things Hunger Games fans anticipated yesterday is the theatrical trailer of “The Hunger Games”---and it was worth the wait.
“The Hunger Games” theatrical trailer debuted yesterday morning in “Good Morning America” at 8:30am, where it shows more what the book trilogy is all about. Unlike the teaser trailer a few months back which shows Katniss exploring the forest, this theatrical trailer is longer, more emotional and shows more of the main characters in the story.
For those who have read the books, fans saw previews of Gale and Katniss together, The Reaping, Katniss’ preparation for the Games, Peeta and Katniss on the rooftop, the training and of course, the Hunger Games itself. Some of the most important scenes in the book are in the trailer, giving audiences who haven’t read the book a background on what “The Hunger Games” is all about. I won’t be giving other spoilers for you, but after seeing the trailer, I am really looking forward to “The Hunger Games” next year. For me, this is the next big thing after “Harry Potter” and “Twilight”.
“The Hunger Games” will be shown on March 23, 2012 and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth and is directed by Gary Ross.
